Pratap was trained in martial arts, horse riding, and archery from a young age. In 1572, after the death of his father, Maharana Pratap became the 13th king of the Mewar dynasty. Though, a few people were against this but being the eldest son of Maharana Udai Singh II, he became the ruler of Mewar.
The Battle of Haldighati
One of the most significant battles in Maharana Pratap's life was the Battle of Haldighati in 1576. He faced Akbar's army, which was much larger and better equipped than his own. Despite the odds against him, Maharana Pratap fought bravely. This battle is still remembered for his valor and courage.
Life in Exile
After the Battle of Haldighati, Maharana Pratap was forced to flee from his kingdom and went into exile. He lived in the jungles of the Aravalli Mountains with his family and a small band of loyal followers. He continued to fight against Akbar's forces and refused to surrender.

After years of living in exile, Maharana Pratap returned to his kingdom and re-established his rule. He continued to resist Akbar's forces and fought for his people until his death in 1597. His legacy as a brave and determined warrior king has inspired generations of Indians.
